The Broker - The Short Version
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something this new, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Many pick one platform. Access to both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders find it more natural after comparing.
FIX API is offered for bots but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly in the works. That should be a good addition when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The speed is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the setup is serious. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
